Family Support Group AMHERST

September 21 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every month that begins at 7:00 pm on day Third of the month, repeating until December 31, 2022

Join this facilitated, confidential support group for adult family members and caregivers concerned about and/or caring for a person with mental illness. Leaders are trained family members with lived experience of a loved one’s  struggles with mental illness. Open to all WNY families. The group is held in the Amherst Central Schools Family Service Center on the church grounds. Park in the rear and enter through the glass doors on the right. Weather closings are listed on WGRZ Channel 2.

There is no fee to attend a Family Support Group. We encourage participants to join NAMI Buffalo & Erie County or make a donation, if able. No one is denied membership due to financial hardship. Membership includes local, state, and national NAMI.

This group is not appropriate for a person who has a diagnosis unless they are a caregiver of a loved one who has mental illness. Referrals to other services are available for those with a diagnosis seeking support. For any questions, email us at info@namibuffalony.org or call the office at 716-226-6264.
