Join this facilitated, confidential support group for adult family members and caregivers concerned about and/or caring for a person with mental illness. Leaders are trained family members with lived experience of a loved one’s struggles with mental illness. Open to all WNY families. The group meets at Save the4 Michaels of the World Buffalo, 737 Delaware Ave. Park behind Catholic Charities (next door) and walk up the driveway to the main door of our building.
IMPORTANT NOTE: In January 2025, the location of the group will change. See the calendar listing for those details.
Weather closings are listed on WGRZ Channel 2.
There is no fee to attend a Family Support Group. We encourage participants to join NAMI Buffalo & Erie County or make a donation, if able. No one is denied membership due to financial hardship. Membership includes local, state, and national NAMI.
This group is not appropriate for a person who has a diagnosis unless they are a caregiver of a loved one who has mental illness. Referrals to other services are available for those with a diagnosis seeking support. For any questions, email us at info@namibuffalony.org or call the office at 716-226-6264.
